Dr. Heath wins Dr. Suning Wang Award for Outstanding Graduate Mentorship



Dr. Nancy Heath was recently awarded the 2023 Dr. Suning Wang Award for Outstanding Graduate Mentorship by the Canadian Association for Graduate Studies (CAGS).


Established in 2018, this award recognizes graduate faculty members with a record of excellent mentorship of graduate students under their supervision. Outstanding mentors inspire their graduate students to be creative in their thinking, to push their research in new directions, and to make a positive impact on the future.

“CAGS is delighted to showcase the hard work and dedication of Dr. Nancy Heath, and we hope that her strong commitment to graduate students will inspire others to reach similar heights,” wrote the association in its announcement.

Dr. Heath's recognition as the recipient of the Dr. Suning Wang Award for Outstanding Graduate Mentorship is a true inspiration. I observe as a student how beneficial and informative mentoring can be for student learning, scholarship, and personal growth.
